• Do I need to purchase travel insurance for this trip?
  • Travel insurance is not included in the trip cost but is HIGHLY recommended to provide emergency medical coverage as well as protection should you need to cancel your trip for a covered reason.

• How much is the deposit? When is the final payment due?
  • A non-refundable deposit of $250 per person is due at the time of booking.
  • Final payment is due by July 1, 2025.
• What airport should I fly into? What airport will I be flying home from?
  • This itinerary is designed for round-trip flights into Glasgow. There will be a free transfer from the Glasgow Airport to the hotel in Edinburgh on Sunday, September 14, 2025 for any flights that arrive between 7am and 12 noon.
  • You can fly directly into Edinburgh and make your way to the hotel via taxi or Uber if you prefer.
• Can I extend my time in Scotland by flying in early or staying late?
  • Absolutely! We can arrange for you to spend a few extra days in Scotland, or even arrange for you to fly to a different city such as London or Dublin after the tour is over.
• Can I join this trip if I am traveling solo?
  • Solo travelers are always welcome to join our group trips! There are a limited number of solo travelers allowed, and there will be a single supplement of $795 added to the total trip cost.
• I would like to share a room with 2 other people. Is that allowed?
  • There are a very limited number of triple rooms available for this group trip. Book early to snag one of these rooms if you require it.
• What happens if I need to cancel my trip and I don't purchase travel insurance?
  • We understand that life happens and sometimes you need to cancel last minute. Travel insurance will allow you to receive a refund for your trip cost (minus the insurance premium) for covered reasons. Non-covered reasons or cancellations without insurance will have the following penalties:
    • Cancellations 66+ days prior to departure will result in a forfeiture of deposit
    • Cancellations 65-16 days prior to departure will result in a penalty of 30% per person
    • Cancellations 15-8 days prior to departure will result in a penalty of 50% per person
    • Cancellations 7-1 days prior to departure will result in a penalty of 90% per person
    • Cancellations on the day of departure will result in a penalty of 100% per person
• Can I bring my child with me on this trip? Is there a discount for children? 
  • The recommended age for this tour is 8 years old and up.
  • Children 4 years old and under are not eligible for this group trip.
  • Children ages 8-17 will receive a 10% land discount when sharing a room with 1 adult paying full rates
• You listed the itinerary, but no information on the accommodations. Where will we be staying?
  • Accommodations for this trip will be confirmed closer to travel. The tour operator usually utilizes a combination of the following hotels during the tour. In the event that a specified hotel is not available due to limited inventory, CIE will make every effort to re-accommodate the tour in hotel of a similar category.

• Do I need a passport or visa to visit Scotland?
  • Passports are required and should be valid for at least 6 months after we return from Scotland.
  • Visas are not required for US Citizens.
• I have special needs that will need to be accommodated. Is this tour right for me?
  • Clients who require physical assistance or special accommodations of any kind must advise Stress Less Vacations at the time of booking and must travel with a qualified and physically-able travel companion to provide such assistance.
  • The motor coaches are not equipped with wheelchair ramps, so you must be able to walk up 3 to 4 steps into a coach
  • Motorized scooters can not be accommodated on this tour.
  • Please keep in mind that we will be visiting historic sites, many of which are not easily navigated with a wheelchair.
  • CIE Tours nor Stress Less Vacations are able to provide personal services (such as pushing a wheelchair, assisting with a walker, etc.) or individualized assistance with walking, getting on or off motor coaches, entering/exiting attractions, or other personal needs.

• Are there any discounts that I can take advantage of?
  • Yes! All participants who book and pay their deposit by November 15, 2024 will receive a 5% Early Booking Discount! Act quickly to take advantage of this!
• Will this group tour be private or shared?
  • In order to provide the most cost-efficient tour, the Stress Less Vacations tour group will be part of a larger group tour. The tour will have a maximum of 48 travelers plus the guide and driver.
  • Stress Less Vacations has a total of 20 spots reserved for our group. Once those 20 spots are claimed, any remaining spots can be booked at the current prevailing rate.
